What we can do for you?

Gappy smiles, discoloured teeth, odd shaped teeth, worn chipped teeth, discoloured fillings can all be fixed with cosmetic dentistry and it's often not as complex or expensive as you think.  A beautiful smile can really boost your confidence and roll back the years.

Is cosmetic dentistry complicated and expensive?

Not always! People are often surprised to find that simple small procedures such as tooth whitening or composite bonding can make a world of difference. Such procedures are minimally invasive, do not damage the health of the teeth and don't cost the earth.

So don't be afraid to let us know what you would like to change about your smile because the result you want may be easier and cheaper than you think.

We are committed to offering sound ethical advice and we fully support minimally invasive techniques to improve your smile where possible. Our aim is to always maintain the health of your teeth whilst improving their appearance.

Bonding/adhesive dentistry

This simple and effectice technique can be used to treat the following problems:

  • short eroded/worn teeth
  • closure of spaces/gaps
  • chipped/fractured teeth
  • reshaping small/peg shaped teeth

Composite (tooth coloured) filling materials can be bonded to the teeth to alter the tooth's shape, size, colour or position.

The bonding procedure uses adhesives to bond the composite directly to the tooth. This can then be shaped and polished to achieve the desired result. This process can be done in one simple visit which helps to keep the cost down.

Bonding can last for many years but if the restorations do stain or chip in time they can easily repaired/polished.

Cosmetic Contouring

Chipped teeth and uneven edges can sometimes be reshaped , smoothed and polished. It is quick and simple and is often combined with composite bonding to get the best result.

Composite fillings

Unsightly amalgams can make teeth look grey or black and can really spoil a smile. They can easily be replaced by white coloured filling materials that can be shade matched to your natural teeth.

White filling materials can also be used to improve the appearance of teeth that may be worn, discoloured or mishapen.

Inlays

Inlays are white ceramic restorations or composite fillings which have been made in the laboratory. With new technology it is now possible to place an inlay where we would have once had to place a crown. This has many advantages including the fact that inlays conserve much more tooth structure than crowns and are cheaper. They are hardwearing and look good too!

Crowns and Veneers

These are porcelain/ceramic restorations that can be placed to change the size shape or position of teeth and also to hide discolouration nad lighten teeth. As these restorations involve removal of tooth tissue they would only be advised insituations where no other more conservative option was suitable. If you already have crowns or veneers that are chipped, too dark or just don't look great then these can be removed and replaced with new ones.
